This renovation came out of necessity first before desire. Yes, the owners wanted to renovate, however a leak from their bath waste into the Unit directly below them saw the need for it to be actioned sooner rather than later. As always, AMS are well rehearsed with dealing with high rise buildings, apartments etc. Liaising with the Body Corporate and onsite manage is priority, as it is always better to have them on your side. Demolition took place first and once completed stripped out the investigation began. Wasn’t too long before we discovered a major problem with the original waste and connections, all of which was rectified all before putting this bathroom back together again. Then came the design element. The owner of the unit wanted to make use of every possible nook and cranny within the facets of the buildings block work. Out came the bath tub and voila, a new larger walk in shower /wet area. The laundry component was moved from being stacked on top of the bench to underneath the bench in the new custom made cabinetry. The illusion from tiling from floor level to ceiling height gave the room more light and volume, giving the illusion of a bigger space. And let’s not forget about the unit below… we fixed that too.
