This renovation was an absolute pleasure of a project to undertake… The Client pretty much gave AMS free reign after making all their selections (i.e. tiles, stone, tapware, colours, etc). With the apartment being inside a residential, quiet complex, it was imperative that we got this one right from the get go. With the jobsite being inside a complex, we ensured all access for both us, the Client and neighbours was fluid and that we kept the communication going from start to finish. The ENTIRE APARTMENT was gutted and stripped back to its bare bones so we could alter the layout to a much more natural one. Kitchen gone, bathroom gone, laundry gone, balustrading removed, walls removed and a COMPLETE rebuild from the inside out. With all the layout changes and walls being rebuilt in new places, we converted an oversized walk in wardrobe into an ensuite, we rotated the cabinetry positions for a more compact laundry and still managed a main bathroom with a bath tub and toilet suite. The HWS was relocated from being inside upstairs, to outside downstairs. All the carpets upstairs were removed and the beautiful timber flooring sanded back and stained to Japanese Black. Downstairs the larger scale of floor tile gave the illusion of vastness and space. The old half-half wall and timber balustrading was replaced with frameless glass panels. The kitchen was modernised to a clean-lined galley kitchen taking full advantage of the length of the area to work with. Overall this renovation was a huge success and by the end of the job, it was top of the list for being one of our favourites.
