Renovation grant eligibility

To be eligible for the renovation grant:

• Properties need to be worth under $1.5m before the renovation and construction must commence within three months of the contract date, between 4 June and 31 December 2020
• Upgrade values are for owner-occupiers only; not investment properties or owner-builders
• Renovations need to be valued between $150,000 and $750,000
• Your household income cannot exceed $125,000 for a single or $200,000 for a couple
• Renovation grants can be used to improve the liveability of the home; an extension, or kitchen and bathroom renovations for example, but not for additions to the property like swimming pools, tennis courts or sheds
• Licenced contractors must carry out renovations.
